Focus is our partial meal replacement program that provides a high protein nutritionally balanced meal plan.  You consume calorie -defined  quality meal replacements and a “lean and green meal”  to achieve a faster weight loss than traditional dieting.  Your calories are contained well as you are monitored by a health professional.  You gradually come of the program in a systematic way as you add calorie controlled meals back.


Why this approach?

For the current dieter—Some dieters hit a plateau and can’t seem to lose more weight.  This program can jump start the weight loss process and reduce discouragement.

For the person with diabetes- New research indicates that weight loss and  a low carbohydrate diet can improve blood glucose and reduce the severity of diabetes.  Moving away from a generous carbohydrate diet is not so easy for some, and our Certified Diabetes Educators can guide you.


Why did I name it FOCUS?


“That which we focus on, happens”


When you put all your attention into an effort, you will get results.  By removing too many food options and limiting your choices to selected food items that are nutritionally designed, you can reduce the decision making, food shopping and preparation, while losing weight faster.  This is called “stimuli-narrowing”, or FOCUS!

You never stop eating healthy food, but you reduce the hassle of preparing each and every meal.  We make it simple, without a lot of food choices.  When food selection is made simpler, the other food habits such as mindless eating or emotional eating,  become more apparent and are then addressed.


Focus Meal Plan

You will have bars, shakes and soups, along with one healthy balanced meal a day-eating every 3 hours.   Your plan will be designed to meet your individual needs.  You will meet weekly with the dietitian and purchase the Focus products for the next week.


 

I love the Focus program.  I enjoy the bars, shakes and soups.  They are very filling, allowing me to get through my day without thinking about what I should or should not eat.  The program is easy to follow and the support that I get from my visits with Sharon Howard keeps me “focused”.   The program has changed the way I approach food choices.  I am making smarter food decisions including when I go out to eat or go on vacation.  Thanks to Sharon’s encouragement and knowledge, I am exercising more, I feel great, I am wearing clothes that I previously couldn’t get into and I have a much more positive body image.  This is the first program that I have had true success with.  I highly recommend the focus program.
